The fact that water can contain gases can be seen in sparkling water at the latest, but other gases such as oxygen and nitrogen can also be dissolved in water and, in the worst case, lead to corrosion damage. To prevent this from happening, the technical process of DEGASSING comes into play. Degassing can be achieved thermally or chemically, for example. In the former, the liquid is made to boil and the gases are thus caused to evaporate; in the latter, chemicals are used which bind the gases to themselves.
