FULL DESALINATION removes all ionogenic ingredients contained in the water; this is achieved thanks to the combination of debase and deacidification. We had already mentioned both terms during desalination, here again for the sake of completeness: During debasing, all cations present in water are replaced by hydrogen ions; during deacidification, anions are changed for hydroxide ions. A mixed-bed ion exchanger is required so that full desalination can really be completed.
