ORBENS nanofiltration systems are based on highly selective membranes that use mid-range pressures and thus enable high energy efficiency. Depending on the application — such as in industrial process water treatment, partial desalination or the treatment of raw and well water — membrane materials and system configurations are individually designed. The aim is always an optimal compromise between retention rate, flow rate and service life.
A major advantage of nanofiltration at ORBEN is the precise adjustment to the respective water chemistry. Through detailed analysis of raw water composition, systems can be configured to efficiently reduce hardeners, sulfates, organic substances or heavy metals. At the same time, a defined residual mineralization is maintained, which is particularly advantageous for downstream processes.

Pretreatment, membrane protection, cleaning strategies (CIP) and monitoring concepts are considered holistically. This increases operational safety and significantly extends the life of the membranes.
