Reverse osmosis is one of the most efficient membrane processes for water desalination and is a central component of modern water treatment concepts at ORBEN. It is used wherever dissolved salts, organic substances, micropollutants or germs must be reliably removed from the water — for example in industry, energy generation or as a precursor for ultrapure water applications.
Technically, reverse osmosis is based on semi-permeable membranes, which separate water from dissolved ingredients under increased pressure. ORBEN uses high-quality membrane technologies and individually designs each system for raw water quality, target water parameters and operating point. Factors such as salt load, temperature, pH and fouling tendency are specifically taken into account.
A key feature of ORBEN reverse osmosis systems is well-thought-out system integration. Pretreatment stages such as microfiltration, softening or dosing technology are designed in such a way that the membranes are optimally protected. This increases the service life of the modules, reduces cleaning intervals and ensures stable continuous operation.
ORBENS reverse osmosis systems are characterized by high energy efficiency and operational safety. Modern pump technology, optimized flow management and precise control enable economical operation even at high flow rates. At the same time, continuous monitoring of conductivity, pressure and flow ensures consistent water quality.
Thanks to the modular design, ORBEN systems can be flexibly expanded or adapted to changing requirements. This makes reverse osmosis a future-proof solution for demanding applications in industrial water treatment.
